Dr. Robert Paull received his Bachelors Degree in Biochemistry from Rutgers College, did graduate work in Biochemistry at Rutgers University and did research in Biochemical Genetics prior to attending medical school. He graduated from Rutgers Medical School in 1983 and completed a full Internal Medicine residency at Overlook Hospital, then an affiliate of Columbia College of Physicians & Surgeons. He was an acting instructor at Columbia P&S during that time. He completed his fellowship in Dermatology at the University of Washington, Seattle, WA in 1989.
Dr. Paull has been active in teaching Dermatology to medical students, medical residents, Physician Assistant students, and Nurse Practitioner students since he began his practice. He has provided the core Dermatology curriculum to the Physician Assistant Program at Rutgers for over 20 years.
Dr. Paull is an active member of the Dermatological Society of New Jersey where he serves on the Board of Directors and is the Legislative Chairperson for the Society. He has been involved with the American Academy of Dermatology in Washington, DC, interacting with members of Congress to help get important information across to New Jersey members regarding their constituents.
Dr. Paull has been involved with lasers since his training years when lasers were in their infancy. He has been involved with laser companies, helping to develop their equipment and instructs physicians on advanced techniques with them. He was instrumental in developing the Skin Laser Center at Overlook Medical Center.
In his spare time he enjoys his family and grandchildren, is an avid fly fisherman and does classical music recording for a number of orchestras and performance groups in the Tri-State area.
